Wormwood Herb Wormwood herb or (Artemisia absinthium) is a herbaceous, perennial plant native to Eurasia and northern Africa. It has fibrous roots and tall grooved stems that grow to approximately 3 ft 10 inches and are silvery-green in color. The leaves having oil-producing glands grow in a spiral formation and are a greenish-grey color at the top of the plant and white toward the bottom covered with silky silvery-white trichomes .
